SurrogateAssist has been created to provide a safe, secure, private medium of contact between intended parents and potential surrogates, egg or sperm donors.
Unlike many relatively anonymous online surrogate social networks we aim to provide, for free, serious identification checks including verification of educational and health certificates including opt-in genetic health and ancestry tests for our members.
There are many reasons why potential parents will seek seek a surrogate, donor eggs, sperm or embryos.
Who Uses Surrogates?
A woman might decide to use a surrogate for several reasons:
- She may have medical problems with her uterus.
- She may have had a hysterectomy that removed her uterus such as cancer treatment.
- She or her partner may have a serious genetic illness she doesnt wish to burden her children with.
- There may be conditions that make pregnancy impossible or medically risky, such as
- Severe heart disease
- Transmissable diseases
- PCOS - Polycystic ovarian syndrome
- Endometriosis
- Other women choose surrogacy after trying unsuccessfully to get pregnant with a variety of assisted-reproduction techniques (ART), such as IVF.
Surrogates have also made parenthood an option for people who might not be able to adopt a child.
Reasons could also include:
- Their age.
- Their relationship status.
None of these issues should be a barrier to a loving family
